The NSW U13's Novice event will be held at Sydney Olympic Park Sport Halls on Sunday, 7th June 2026. To compete in these events, the following age registrations apply: U13's events: competitors must be under 13 years on January 1, 2026. Please bring photo ID for age verification at Check-In. No refunds will be given for fencers who were entered incorrectly. NSW Fencing State membership is required to enter this tournament. Correct equipment is essential for safety. Please refer to the equipment standards on the NSWFA website.  Equipment will be checked for compliance by the referees at this tournament. Fencers without compliant equipment will not be permitted to fence, and no refund will be given. UPDATE: Early registrations close 11.59 pm AEST, Monday 1st May 2026. Late registrations will close 7:00 pm Tuesday, 2nd June 2026, and will incur an additional fee. No registrations will be accepted after the close of Late registrations or at the competition. Note: The final competition schedule has been updated, please see revised poules composition posted on Fencing Time Live. Where a fencer is entered in multiple events that are scheduled concurrently, please see the DT. If you appear scratched in an event, please see equivalent Novice event for your poules.

NSW U13's event, incorporating the Volker Hrovat Epee Cup and the Angelo Santangelo Foil Cup, will be held at Sydney Olympic Park Sport Halls on Sunday, 7th June 2026. To compete in these events, the following age registrations apply: U13's events: competitors must be under 13 years on January 1, 2026. Please bring photo ID for age verification at Check-In. No refunds will be given for fencers who were entered incorrectly. NSW Fencing State membership is required to enter this tournament. The NSW State Championships for Youth (U15) and Cadet (U17) will be held at Sydney Olympic Park Sport Halls on the following days: Youth (15) - Saturday 6th June Cadet (U17) Sunday 7th June To compete in these events, the following age registrations apply: Youth events: competitors must be under 15 years on January 1, 2026. Cadet events: competitors must be under 17 years on January 1, 2026. Please bring photo ID for age verification at Check-In. No refunds will be given for fencers who were entered incorrectly. NSW Fencing State membership is required to enter this tournament. Correct equipment is essential for safety. Please refer to the equipment standards on the NSWFA website. Please pay particular attention to the requirements for FIE masks and foil mask wires. Equipment will be checked for compliance by the referees at this tournament. Fencers without compliant equipment will not be permitted to fence, and no refund will be given. Join the Dialogue with some of NSW Fencing's most successful young athletes in a first-time High Performance Athletes Panel. The session will be facilitated by Emily Prinicipe, a successful fencer in her own right, including a Commonwealth Cadet Bronze medal in Epee. Our High Performance Athlete panelists are: Yelin Zou: Gold medallist in Sabre at the Asian Junior Fencing Championships, multiple times AFC medallist - Sabre; Daniel Iliffe: Silver medalist in the European Cadet Circuit - Sabre, as well as National Senior/Junior/Cadet Champion in Sabre; Sophia Glasson: 3 x National Senior Champion in Foil, National Junior and Cadet Champion - Foil, and Foil Bronze Medallist in the Asian Cadet Championships. We also have a special guest appearance from Andrew Weiss, the Australian Fencing Federation's High Performance Manager and High Performance Committee member, who will provide information on the National Pathway process and High Performance Program. We look forward to you joining us and hearing their stories. And of course, you'll have the opportunity to ask questions. Please register here. Come and enjoy a friendly introductory tournament! This is an un-ranked tournament (as per NSW Fencing Ranking policy), and is suitable for fencers who are new to competing OR returning to competition after an injury or a long break from competative fencing. NB, to access tickets you need to be logged in. For fencers aged under 18, the adult contact on the account needs to be logged in to access tickets. If you have any issues please email info@nswfencing.org.au for help well in advance of the close of entries. This is a ranked state tournament (as per NSW Fencing Ranking policy), and is suitable for fencers who are confident competitors, and to prepare for national tournaments. General tournament information Introduction to competing Categories and pathways Interstate and international competitors Eligibility for this tournament: Senior events: competitors must be aged 13 years and over on the date of the tournament. Veterans events: competitors must be turning 40 years or over in 2026. Please bring photo ID for age verification at Check-In. No refunds will be given for fencers incorrectly entered.
