Come and enjoy a state tournament! This is a ranked state tournament (as per NSW Fencing Ranking policy), and is suitable for fencers who have some tournament experience, or are ready for a higher level of competition than they've experienced at club/school/novice/B grade level. NB, to access tickets you need to be logged in. For fencers aged under 18, the adult contact on the account needs to be logged in to access tickets. A collaborative forum to share lived experiences and guide action on gender equity in sport. Join us for an informal online lunchtime forum for female and non-binary athletes, their parents/caregivers, and coaches, hosted by Britt Hilton (she/her), NSW Fencing's new Development and Inclusion Officer. Britt is responsible for developing, implementing, and promoting programs across all levels that encourage women, girls, and gender-diverse people to take up and stay involved in fencing. She’s eager to hear your experiences, insights, and ideas to help shape future initiatives that support and grow participation and opportunities. Your voice matters in building a sporting environment where everyone can thrive, and we’d love you to be part of this important conversation to: share your experiences to help shape inclusive sport programs connect directly with the Development and Inclusion Officer collaborate with others who care about equity in sport help identify priorities to better support female and non-binary athletes help identify what resources are needed contribute to a safe, supportive environment for all participants be part of the change that drives long-term gender equity in sport. Come and enjoy a state tournament! This is a ranked state tournament (as per NSW Fencing Ranking policy), and is suitable for fencers who have some tournament experience, or are ready for a higher level of competition than they've experienced at club/school/novice/B grade level. This tournament is the qualifying event for the 2025 Australian Intermediate Schools Championships, so you must compete in it in order to be eligible to enter the national event. Schools with a fencing program enter the teams in the tournament. However if you are a team of fencers from a school without a fencing program, or whose school allows you to enter directly, you can enter your team using the 'Get tickets' button on this page. If you're a team of fencers from multiple schools, you can enter as an independent team, also using the 'Get tickets' button on this page.  Please note, each team comprises three fencers, or four fencers, including one reserve and there is a limit of three teams per school, and three independent teams, for each category in the tournament. For direct entry, the first three teams to enter in each category will have entry to the tournament, any additional teams entering will not be eligible to enter and will be refunded. Please note also, school teams who enter via direct entry (ie not via their school) will need to ensure all members present their student card to DT to verify that they are a student at the school the team is representing. This is a ranked state tournament (as per NSW Fencing Ranking policy), and is suitable for fencers who have some tournament experience, or are ready for a higher level of competition than they've experienced at club/school/novice/B grade level. Any fencer may enter this tournament, however if you are a fencer at a school with a fencing program, your school will usually enter you to the tournament, so please check with your school as to their procedure to avoid duplicate entries and charges.
